The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of software that implements current and emerging broadcast and internet digital TV technologies. Additionally the successful candidate will need to rapidly understand and apply a number of digital TV standards that are used in devices today and of the future.
This is an opportunity to get hands on with cutting edge technology, often well in advance of its appearance on the consumer market.
The role involves architecture and hands-on development of tests and test harness infrastructure; in particular a modified web server that can deliver audio/video content and can simulate a number of different network conditions.
This role will report to the Internet TV Team Leader who the candidate will work closely with. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility in approach and be willing to assist with all aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, documentation, verifying the product and helping with support.
